What is PIVOT?
PIVOT is a responsive, user-friendly, and secure web application designed to enhance website accessibility and inclusivity by integrating features like ASL (American Sign Language) videos, captions, speech-to-text, audio translations, and more. The system ensures ease of use, security, and compatibility across various devices and platforms. PIVOT seamlessly integrated into any website, offers an intuitive and universal icon that clearly signals the availability of ASL translations.
Why PIVOT?
PIVOT will address language accessibility laws aimed at ensuring equal access to online content for individuals with limited English proficiency, disabilities, and language barriers. By enhancing web and language accessibility the system not only addresses current accessibility shortcomings but also meets the standards set forth by emerging language and accessibility legislation. The available tools are rudimentary and difficult to use, making the UI/UX experience for most people with disabilities a poor one. The PIVOT project will solve this problem and enhance website accessibility through multiple features with the autonomy of moderators to be able to upload and manage their content from an intuitive and user-friendly dashboard.
